Inspiration
Needless to say, a good friend’s simple film creation during an adventurous 4th has inspired me to pick up the pace in my Final Cut Pro training.
(hope she doesn’t mind me sharing here)
I just see my little woman doing her thing at this .com….in beautiful motion…. with a kick ass soundtrack to boot. Here’s to a future in viral videos little miss.

The National
These guys kept me company some during a Bonnaroo trip that had me hundreds of miles away from a loving wife and rascally daughter. Whew what a profession I’ve found myself in.

Her First Live Show - Spoon
On March 24th - we three are going on a live music adventure. With my birthday coming up my wife has made a music lover’s surprise.
We’ll be in attendance at a sold out Spoon show. Amazing.
Together we quickly decided - forget about a babysitter!! Let’s test her enthusiasm for a live show. She’s seen and heard Daddies drums…what about a mic’d up band?
I mean,...

For The Gamer Dads - MLB The Show 10
Our national past time has turned their ignition key down in Florida and out in Arizona.
After a year where the Pin-Stripe’s brought home their 27th title - it’s baseball time again!
To get my early baseball fix, I snatched up the recently released PS3 title:
MLB 10 The Show
The game series continues to impress with this new edition. Even despite being plagued with early bugs...

I mean, we totally watched… and then watched… and then again, watched the show and films like this.

Let’s play catch up. I’ll admit, I’ve completely dogged this space with whimpy content for a few months. So toss your stones this way!
I can not believe how swift my focus shifted from sharing here…

Simply, thank you Ben.
LOS ANGELES—Ben Stiller announced today the launch of the Haitian School Initiative, an effort to help provide temporary schools for Haitians displaced by the earthquake on January 12, 2010. “Our goal is to help kids get back in school as quickly as possible,” said Stiller. “Schools are a safe haven for kids in times of crisis, and are instrumental in delivering...

I have a long term goal and am currently struggling at wrapping my brain around the logistics and financing involved.
Today, I’ve added to my research library and picked up this body of work:
I am continuing to brainstorm.

Holiday Traditions
In April, we became a family of three.
Now that Christmas is upon us, my better half and I have been tossing around developing traditions that we’d like to have for little Lilly to remember when she becomes older.
For example, we have decided the following will occur annually:
On the night of Christmas Eve, we will sit around a fire and watch a specific and lovingly humorous version of...
Little Blue Door
I am so tickled to see that my Wife has started to share her perspective of being a first time mother. She’s crafty. Together, our cup over flows this holiday season.

Wes Anderson has again created a warm film.
And well…the coming of this movie helps me recall how imaginative and capturing the collection of Roald Dahl’s children books are. We totally grew up with his tales.
I think it’s time to start repeatedly reading the classics to our little miss.

Stewart Copeland - Strange Things Happen

Help Ian Mcdougall - Riverboat Gamblers
Just caught wind of this:
Hello all,
It’s definitely been a trying few days. On the night of Saturday October 17th, while riding his bike home, a car hit Ian Mcdougall, guitarist of our band Riverboat Gamblers. He sustained some pretty heavy injuries including a broken hip, a broken wrist and hemmoraging under the skull along with many lacerations, torn ligaments, bruises and and scrapes.

Dead Man's Bones
The timing of this music find was in near sequence with the season.
First shared with me by my bride, I like what I hear from another creative side of actor Ryan Gosling.
While we are still trying to track down the perfect costume for our six month old, I think I am leaning towards a spooky vs. sweet first Halloween outfit.
So selfish of me huh?

First Scare
My little girl banged her head. I still feel shaken.
I was sitting at my machine upstairs. Ms. Wiggles was playing on an elevated surface behind. Yes, a Daddy’s mistake.
She’s displayed the cute ability to scoot and discover, scoot and discover. I should have known better. I’ve underestimated my girl on the day she turned 6 months old.
Next thing I heard was a large thump off...

Last night…
When Muse had completed my smile and ventured off stage, we waited for Bono, The Edge, Adam Clayton, and Larry Mullen Jr.
My eyes couldn’t help but focus on their monumental ‘Claw’ set.
Lovingly dubbed the Claw by the band and the army of crew members needed to erect it on a nightly basis, the stage — anchored in the middle of the field — features a giant...

I’ve decided to start something new here. Everyday we come across multitudes of individuals. Both conniving and then honest ones. Folks from the entire the spectrum.
