Persian rug
We layed out a new rug - she was dying to roll around on it.
And that’s… how simple life can be.

Band On The Diaper Run
An amazing band makes amazing parents.
I encourage you to read and follow their unique stories! Doing the parenting thing in incredible style!
A quick/fav excerpt:
I think I’ve said this before…I’m horrible with goodbyes. My family has pointed this out to me since I was 8. That might be one of the reasons why I like my job. Touring allows me to see loved ones...
Colors
There have been multiple instances where I have been watching my team on the tube, to glance over and see our little girl staring deep at the screen.
My thinking = she’s fascinated by the field crew’s meticulous efforts in keeping perfect conditions for photosynthesis. No better shade of green in my opinion!
More stimulation this morning…

Vans Customs - Revisited
The custom toddler sneaks that Vans graciously provided arrived in the mail yesterday.
Freaking cuter than I had envisioned when going through the process of ‘designing’ them. She’s gonna rock these things when her foot can fit.

Let's Play Telephone
Recently, I shared our LG Invision story. Looks like we’ll be letting the baby engage in some real phone time. My wife just spotted this interesting piece.
Telephone Talk It’s clear when a baby’s verbal skills are ramping up: She’s constantly trying to communicate with you with an ever-growing store of sounds. Here’s a playful way to help her keep working on...

Into It. Over It.
Last night we recieved a package from a dearly missed friend.
The gift contained a fun Live DVD of a band that united several of us in Dallas circa 2001. I have been itching to see it. Loads of nice memories.

LG Invision
It’s time for a mild tech change.
We are switching phone networks/plans to save a few bucks.
It’s not the iphone - but I am still a bit excited about a new toy.
Just in time for baby to start chewing on things we don’t need her to chew on.

UPDATE: Should have curbed our enthusiasm for new devices and checked the coverage map. Got home, package...
Pixar
I hope my daughter will see how HUGE a fan I am.
We’ve got some work to do. We Need to further complete our Pixar home library…only a few titles missing (Cars , Wall-E , and now Up!)
BUT:
I simply dream of multiple “Daddy and Daughter: Saturday Pixar Marathon” session’s at our home.

Day Care
3 months of life, we now have hired the help of a ‘day care ’ service.
For us it’s a heartbreaking milestone. More so for my wife. After all, my two girls haven’t separated since we brought her home from the hospital.
The whole ordeal just feels a bit cruel. To have to ‘ditch’ her on someone else during the day. We know it’s just part of her growing up...

Bottle Rockets
Happy 4th! Three things:
1) A three day weekend is around the corner
2) Grilling steaks, music filling the air, babie’s first 4th and bottle rockets out in the yard!
3) I can’t help but think about the great tale that is:
(mere correlation is the title and what we’ll thematically blow up ha!)
Always Thinking
It’s about a 50 min drive into the office. Yes, 50 mins.
What makes it surreal most mornings is a combination of the scenic landscape and cartunes.
It’s been another week without my ladies. They have journeyed to Nashville. Embraced warmly by the family we have there.
While they share smiles with distant loved ones, the solitude for me has been quite ok. While I miss...
