Still want to construct a recording studio...but how!?

I have a long term goal and am currently struggling at wrapping my brain around the logistics and financing involved.

Today, I’ve added to my research library and picked up this body of work:

I am continuing to brainstorm.

Most expensive and daring plan will be carving out a section of the woods that sit behind our house…Ha carving? Like a turkey right?

I’d build a free standing building following acoustic principles. Huge problem = time, $$$, knowledge. The thought is intimidating but doing what I can to learn.

Another idea in my noggin…maybe less overwhelming…

We’ve got this shed. A rather sturdy structure in itself but could use some major TLC. Gutting it would be a chore but could possibly lead me to and empty canvas. Also will take time but potential less $$$. Maybe?

Final thought…

Knocking down walls in an upstairs spare room. Rebuilding with acoustics/isolation in mind. I can see my wife and professional acousticians cringing.

…but it continues…I’ll get this book in the mail…study it like no other and continue to internally debate the best way to achieve my ongoing dream…
